What is a "section"?
| • | A section is a collection of Snippets under a common name. Sections are similar to Folders but offer some additional functionality. |
| • | Sections are displayed as vertical colored tabs on the left side of Snippets treeview. |
Commands:
All commands are related to the current section except of creating a new section.
| • | Create, rename or delete sections |
| • | Change the order of sections by drag & drop. |
| • | Protect the access to a section by password. |
| • | Assign a color to a section. The associated tab is displayed with this color. |
| • | Import or export a section to a data file. |
| • | Print a list with all Snippets contained in the current section. |
Password protection of a section:
Access to a section can be protected by a password. After entering the password the section is marked as open (symbol: open lock) and the password is not asked anymore. To reactivate the protection the section has to be closed. After restarting the program all sections are closed.
If a section is protected or not is displayed by a symbol on the tab: if there is a open or closed lock the section is protected.
When deleting a section it's content is moved to recycle bin:
